LAVO is at the forefront of green technology with its innovative hydrogen energy storage solutions. The challenge was not only to showcase the technical brilliance of their products but to create a digital experience that educates, captivates, and drives conversion. This demanded a website that could articulate the disruptive potential of LAVO’s technology while facilitating a seamless educational journey that leads to purchase decisions.

Objective

The task was formidable yet thrilling: to design and build a cutting-edge, e-commerce powered website within six weeks for LAVO’s radical new green energy product. The urgency was clear, and the stakes were high, as the timeline coincided with critical product launches and brand evolution.

Approach

Recognizing the need for rapid execution and iterative feedback, a regimen of daily meetings was established to synchronize updates on the product, brand, and site development. This close collaboration involved LAVO’s key stakeholders including Dan Aldridge, Matthew Muller, and Steve Badgery, ensuring the project moved forward smoothly and cohesively. The dynamic nature of the website’s content required creativity and technical agility to ensure that the revolutionary aspects of the LAVO™ Hydrogen Battery System were communicated effectively, balancing immersive design with crucial educational elements.

They have a great balance of being both commercial and creative. They’ve got the technical expertise but they really go beyond with the mix of both design and commercial understanding so we can really build something that’ll achieve the desired outcome of the business. They worked with us through that. Additionally, we're impressed with their strategy. They didn’t intend to build a site that’d be demolished in a couple of years’ time. Their team is being scalable so they’ll reuse the work that they’ve done previously to build. They don’t have to restart. This shows that they’re being very careful with our money as well. Additionally, we’ve had a great flow in sales. We’ve had $7 million worth of preorders since we went live. This is far exceeding our expectations and targets. The fact that it flowed and worked well without any errors is a win.
