Hettich, with its 135-year legacy, is a renowned global leader in the production of high-quality and reliable cabinetry hardware. The challenge was to align their rich history with the dynamic needs of the Australian market, where design aesthetics and functionality play pivotal roles. This led to the collaboration with Evolut to craft a digital presence that would resonate with a specific audience, including architects, specifiers, interior designers, and end users.
Objective
The project aimed to transform Hettich Australia’s website into a vibrant hub of inspiration and engagement. The objective was to elevate the online experience to showcase Hettich’s products not just as items of utility but as integral elements of sophisticated design and space functionality.
Approach
The approach involved creating ‘Design with Hettich,’ a platform that highlights Hettich’s commitment to excellence and innovation tailored specifically for the Australian market. This platform was designed to enhance user engagement through visual storytelling, detailed product explorations, and interactive features that allow users to envision Hettich’s products within their projects.
They have a great balance of being both commercial and creative. They’ve got the technical expertise but they really go beyond with the mix of both design and commercial understanding so we can really build something that’ll achieve the desired outcome of the business. They worked with us through that. Additionally, we're impressed with their strategy. They didn’t intend to build a site that’d be demolished in a couple of years’ time. Their team is being scalable so they’ll reuse the work that they’ve done previously to build. They don’t have to restart. This shows that they’re being very careful with our money as well. Additionally, we’ve had a great flow in sales. We’ve had $7 million worth of preorders since we went live. This is far exceeding our expectations and targets. The fact that it flowed and worked well without any errors is a win.

Hettich Australia aimed to reposition themselves with a focus on solutions, projects, and spaces, moving away from the heavily product-centric approach of their German counterparts. This shift was necessary to better appeal to interior designers, architects, and specifiers.
We introduced a homepage design that emphasizes rich project imagery and features ‘Explore by Space’ functionality, project collaborations, and testimonials. This design is balanced with captivating visuals of products, ensuring that the aesthetic appeal aligns with practical functionality.
The challenge was to forge deeper connections with architects, interior designers, and specifiers by highlighting the spaces where Hettich products excel.
To address this, we enriched the website with detailed case studies and solutions pages that showcase how specific Hettich products enhance various spaces. This section not only informs but also inspires professionals by demonstrating the practical applications and aesthetic contributions of Hettich’s hardware in real-world settings.
With Hettich’s extensive and capable product range, it was crucial to showcase each item in its full glory while also connecting them to relevant spaces, case studies, and articles.
