Griffith University Gold Coast (GUGC) is strategically located within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, adjacent to the Gold Coast University Hospital. With a student population of 21,000, GUGC offers a dynamic campus environment with a strong emphasis on health, medicine, and dentistry. The campus is a hub of student life, featuring a wide array of clubs, sports facilities, and retail outlets, making it a vibrant place for student engagement and learning.
The Challenge
To enhance the vibrant student community experience, GUGC sought innovative ways to engage its students more effectively, especially considering the diverse interests reflected in over 80 student clubs. The university aimed to streamline the way students interact with campus facilities, clubs, and each other.
The Approach
GUGC partnered with Evolut to develop an expansive online community platform tailored for their students. This project began with comprehensive interviews with students and Student Guild leaders to map out various customer journeys and gather insights into the students’ needs and expectations. The aim was to create a multifunctional digital hub that included features such as online sign-up and onboarding, forums, groups, online courses, facilities booking, and an events calendar.
